Volkswagen Bay Window Bus Original Paint Code Numbers
These charts list the original paint L-code numbers and paint names that Volkswagen offered on the T2 Bay Window buses they manufactured from 1968 through 1979. Originally, these single-stage lacquer paint colors were provided by German paint company Glasurit. Today, Glasurit, Sherwin Williams, PPG, Dupont, Sikkens and other quality paint manufacturers should have the necessary paint formulas to match most of these original VW factory colors.
